1973 Mercedes Benz 280 SEL 4.5
This is a rather rare car, being made only for two years with the 4.5 V8 engine.
I purchased this car from a California owner about three years ago. It has absolutely no rust and everything works (except the clock). Electric windows, Becker Europa II AM/FM, great heat (sliders work), A/C recharged and blows cold, MB tex, no sunroof. Over the past two years, I have replaced the following: tie rod ends, sub-frame bushings, radiator mounts, timing chain, cam gears, oil cooler lines, front and rear windshield seals, all four door seals, trunk seal, trunk mat, front and rear speakers, custom floor mats, front and rear seat padding, custom sheep skin seat covers (all receipts included). The odometer now shows about 65,000 miles.
The car was repainted before I purchased it. Serviced here in Denver by Mark Langston at Stu Ritter Mercedes (Stu is the technical editor of the MB Star magazine).
