1967 Chevy Prostreet Camaro
1967 Chevy Camaro, less than 200 miles on
new
engine. New paint, factory glass, fresh weatherstripping, fresh interior, strong 350c.i.
motor,
rebuilt TH350 transmission, new Flowmaster exhaust, ,single leaf
suspension
with traction bars in rear, new Boyds wheels and fresh tires. This
Camaro
has been beautifully restored. Prior to paint a cowl hood and
front and rear
spoilers were added. The new paint is a base coat/clear coat which
has a
nice glossy finish. Almost all exterior chrome has been
replaced (i.e.
bumpers, grille, fender trim, rocker trim, new tail lights).
Factory
emblems are in place and are new. The wheels are new Boyds
$4500 specially cut for this car 17"x8" in front and
20"x9" in back.
They are wrapped in brand new Nexen tires (215/45/17 and
255/35/20). Inside
the car is all original new upholstery with new carpet, new front and rear
door panels. The headliner is new and dash is in good
condition. I still have the factory stereo for this car but I installed a digital Am/Fm stereo with Cassete in the factory holes,it is a new stereo from Firewheel. New speakers, and paging alarm so the car remains where you parked it when you get back.
Engine is a new crate 350. Edelbrock RPM Air Gap aluminum intake with
Edelbrock 600 carburetor.
Chrome air cleaner base and cover. It runs
great with good throttle response. The A/C blows a cold 42
degrees
with everything new. The TH350 transmission was rebuilt and a
new torque converter
installed. An
all aluminum radiator and external transmission cooler assures no
over
heating on long summer cruises. During the restoration, ceramic
coated headers were added to compliment the chrome under the hood.
Coupled
to these new headers are 40 series Flowmaster mufflers. The car
sounds
great.
The engine was also treated to a single belt
serpentine
set up and new 8 mm wires. New wiring in the steering column
and signal
cancel switch. New power brake booster
and master cylinder( works excellent, drastic improvement) and I also
got
rid of the old pedestal activated brake light switch and went
hydraulic and installed LED tail lights
The front brakes are disc the rear are drum. A new starter was installed
for
sure cranking and new power steering pump was also installed. We put in
a new Electric fan
and temp switch to help with cooling the 350 (this makes it cool like
modern cars.) There are tons of new parts put in this car and I pretty
much
have all of the receipts. This car turns heads!!!!!
4/28 New door panels, carpet and tail lights installed.
6/05
Gauge cluster
installed.
7/05 AC installed blowing 42 degrees and engine running 190 degrees at
idle.
7/14 Re tinted windows
