1989 Toyota Supra
Up for sale is my 1989 Toyota Supra, 3.0 non-turbo engine, 5 speed with targa top and fog factory fog lights. Included in this sell is an owner manual, service manual, and Ipod to radio connection. The vehicle is white with burgundy cloth interior. I initially purchased this car to restore all original. It has a great body all original fender and body parts with matching VIN stickers. I have always wanted this model, but due to a life style change I’m unable the complete the project. Rather than allowing this prestige and rare automobile to sit and go to waste, especially with the money recently invested. I have decided to sell. It has 118,000 miles on the odometer, the true mileage is unknown, It appears as if the cluster has been exchanged. The Good:
When the vehicle was purchased in March 2006, the engine had a lower engine knocking noise. The engine was replaced with a Japanese low mileage equivalent, by-way of Canada’s Tiger Japanese Auto Parts www.tigerjapanese.com . The radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater hoses, clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, an engine mount, spark plugs, plug wires (NGK) and timing belt were all replaced during the engine exchange. The rack and pinion has been renewed and both hoses have been replaced with new parts. The fuel filter and rear parking brake are new. We have installed a new set of tires in May 2006 (225/50r-16 Kumho Ecsta) with warranty from Discount Tire; a $450.00 value. The car has a current registration and passed the emission test in May 2006. This sell we include owner manual, receipts for parts and spare set of stock Mark III Saw Blade Wheels rims.
The Bad:
The previous owner (ARMY guy) currently serving in Iraq, had the vehicle painted, it’s not the best work; but according to him the car was stored on a farm in north Georgia and exposed to the weather elements that faded the paint and some of the interior. The car will need front and rear struts. The A/C system will hold a charge for about a month, is a small leak in the system. The hood and rear hatch door need the shocks replaced. Driver door window switch for the passenger side work at times, and the radio knobs are missing.
